Creating the perfect proposal scene
Proposing, it’s such a monumental event, you want it to be just perfect - special, memorable, a story to tell your children, and grandchildren to come!
It can be nerve-racking finding the right words, or just getting those words out when adrenaline is high! 'Saying it in lights' not only shows how much thought you’ve put into your proposal plan, but it literally says it for you, leaving you to just enjoy the moment.
We’ve helped lots of happy couples make their proposal extra special with our MARRY ME Proposal Letter Light Signs. Here are our tips on how to create the most special proposal.
Setting up a beautiful proposal scene:
Decide on the location – where is your special spot? The place you met, had a first kiss, somewhere you enjoy going together. Or surprise them with a new place, in beautiful surroundings.
Set up your MARRY ME sign – simply click the letters together and plug it in if you’re inside, or use a portable charger if you’re outside. Our LED Letter Signs can be used outside, just make sure it’s not raining or wet on the ground, as they can not come into contact with liquid (so watch where you pop the bubbles too)!
Set the scene – with flowers, cushions, candles or fairy lights. Remember that our light sign, as well as any candles, fairy lights or lanterns used, will look better in lower light, so, dim the lights inside or propose at sunset or sunrise.
Don’t forget something to toast the occasion with – for this only champagne will do! You might want to also bring some gourmet nibbles.
Devise a way to get them to the proposal spot – this could be as simple as suggesting a walk and stumbling across your proposal scene.
Remember, if your chosen location is in a public place, you may need to enlist a friend to watch over your beautiful proposal scene until you arrive. You don’t want someone to pinch your champers, or of course your Marry Me sign!
Use again at the wedding
