How to automate your House Number light
When you’ve taken the time to plan and install house front lighting, such as down/up lights, pathway lights, strip lights on steps, plant lights and last but not least, a house number light, you ideally want these to come on automatically as dusk falls, so you can showcase your beautiful abode, whether you’re there to flick the switch or not.
That’s where a Twilight Sensor comes in. This tiny light sensor identifies if it’s dusk or dawn, and triggers a switch accordingly; on for dusk, off for dawn. The switch is hidden in the wiring system of your outside lights. It can be used on a single item, such as our Illuminated LED House Numbers or on a group of lights, similar to a manual switch. Speaking of manual switches, you can of course override the automation by flipping the wall switch yourself.
We’ve found that our customers love the set and forget nature of this process.
Our Twight Sensor is sold as a separate accessory and is compatible with all of our LED House Numbers, as well as other standard outdoor lighting products.
The tiny sensor (just 1.7cm wide) can be easily hidden in an exterior wall or pillar.
